The Republicans claim that those making (as differentiated from earning) $200,000 and above are responsible for job creation.
However, the bulk of new jobs are created by small businesses. These are usually small retail or service companies with fewer than ten employees. Such small business owners seldom make over $200,000 per year, so the tax cuts are being directed to the wrong segment.
